Things to do in Osaka
Osaka is the city people come to for food, and it is unapologetic about it. Dotonbori at night is the picture everyone has seen, but the more interesting version is standing at a counter somewhere in the side streets off it. The castle and Tsutenkaku give you the two ends of the city's history — one a symbol of feudal power, the other a slightly shabby, much-loved tower in a neighbourhood that has not gentrified.
