Things to do in Yamanashi (Mt. Fuji)
Mt. Fuji is two different destinations depending on the month. The climbing season is roughly early July to early September and the mountain is genuinely crowded during it; outside those weeks the trails are closed and the mountain becomes something you look at rather than climb. Oshino Hakkai, twenty minutes away, is where you go for the classic reflection shot.
